It was in July, a nice day. I was busy taking care of one of my brides. Going through my dairy, checking my appointments one by one, making sure to be up dated on my days to come. That’s what the summers are made of, lovers getting married under the sun of these wonderful days. In my office, you could feel the smell of the coffee just brewed that I was slowly drinking from my cup, obviously, a fuchsia pink cup. Suddenly, the cell phone was ringing, and I thought “surely my bride telling me she is running late” but, it wasn’t. I read on the display Valeria Orlando’s name. So I answered the phone and I can still hear this sentence that left me breathless: “Hello Francesca, you will be my Italian team key artist for the New York fashion week”.
Valeria had to repeat it over and over as I couldn’t believe my ears. Here I was reconfirmed for the second time in a row for such an important international show with such a fundamental role. I was moved to tears by joy. I can still remember last year’s experience in New York as if it was yesterday. Each glance, each move, each worries I was bearing on my shoulder as I was living this wonderful experience on my own for the first time in the big apple.
Fashion has always been my way of living, and being able to live this great fashion event as a key artist in the backstage made me realize that every sacrifice I made, every commitment, dedication and choice I did, helped creating humbly and proudly my professional path. The passion and the dedication for a job always bring great results, and this is one of my biggest. A target that will become a new experience as soon as I will set foot on the American ground.
Who to thank for all of this? Surely you guys, you who have always believed in me and my work. You who have always believed in my fuchsia pink suitcase and my magic stick. This will be a crazy week , full time busy, but full of passion and I will keep you up dated on every aspect of it minding the 6 hour jet lag delay.
Beyouty and her suitcase are ready to take over the sky this year again.
